long pier for short walks
The rest of the time was laughing our asses off watching Sophia-Grace and Rosie on Ellen YouTube vids, lounging in our jammies till noon (or later, ahem), munching on all sorts of delicious wheat-free snacks and shared meals, chatting, chatting, chatting and a moderate amount of sewing. Yup, moderate. For once I have returned from a retreat without an aching neck, shoulders and lower back. A fairly significant dent was made in my proverb quilt; all of the text rows have been pieced and I worked on two smaller projects as well.
There are a few finishing touches to put on a great bag I made for my daughter before I can show it to you. In the mean time, here's the fun iPad sleeve I made using Faith's tutorial on Fresh Lemon Quilts.
I had ordered more of Melody Miller's transistor fabric to make some tech protectors and then I was alerted to Faith's tute which looked amazing in the same fabric. Score! The transistors are paired here with some Essex linen in orange and Echo by Lotta Jansdotter (all from Marmalade Fabrics! and the transistors are on super-sale). I like that the sleeve has a zippered pocket for extras and charging cable. The new iPad 2 with magnetic screen protector fits snugly.
Hope you had a lovely weekend too!

Did you adjust the size of the pouch down at all? DAMMIT I hope my friend doesn't have that protector thingmy otherwise my pouch is going to join my first Nook in the FAIL pile.
p.s. glad you had fun at your retreat!
I'm quite envous of all your fun retreats. This one without all the usual aches and pains sounds perfect.
Love the iPad cover!
The retreat sounds super. I'm counting down the hours until mine--only a week from Thursday. Yippee!!
Glad you had a great retreat. As always, Mayne Is. looks beautiful. I'm getting ready for my yearly retreat this coming weekend; four days of sewing and catching up with nine quilting buddies! Can't wait!
Glad you didn't take a long walk on a short pier. Sounds like the whole thing was a blast, what fun. Love the iPad cover, must get around to making one of them one day. And a Kindle cover too. Yours is very inspiring!
That looks fab, glad you had a fun time
Your fabric choices always astound me. This one's just perfect.
