Hi all,
Remote blogging from the cottage on a rather lethargic connection...I do have some lovely photos to share and stories, too (I even caught a sweet, smalltown quilt show today!!), but all of that will have to wait.
For now, I've got a guest post up on the Fat Quarterly Blog that is a great primer for anyone interested in organizing a quilting retreat. The Fat Quarterly team is a talented bunch - they are doing such an incredible job. If you don't know who they are, or what they are doing, hurry on over there and get your subscription (just hit the "BUY" button in the right sidebar)! I just received Issue 2 and a quick skim tells me it's even bigger and just as exciting as their debut.
I'll be back soon. At the moment, I've got to get some food on the barbie and some after-sun lotion on my shoulders. We're having a fantastic family holiday, but I am missing keeping in touch with all of you!!!

Hi Krista,
I saw your guest post on Fat Quarterly - awesome! I'd love to go on a quilt retreat!
I saw your article as well! Congratulations! It sounds like a grand time. I am glad that you are enjoying your vacation.
Yes, I saw your article too - what helpful advice. I've never been to a retreat, but it sounds like a grand time. So cute - the photo of all the quilting feet/foot pedals in their comfy footwear!
Hi Krista!! Great post at the Fat Quarterly Blog. I was able to go to stitch on Friday - finally -- we missed you. Good to hear you are having a fabulous holiday!
Have a fun vacation and don't worry about us. You'll be back soon enough and then you'll have to go back to work quilting again. LOL Enjoy the quiet!
Have a wonderful vacation, and a great post that you made!
Micki
