I've been making memories....memory games, actually.
Using a 2.5" square ruler, I fussy cut pairs of fabric motifs, then fuse them to one side of double-sided fusible Peltex (or Timtex). I fuse recycled wool (from skirts and blazers) onto the other side and zigzag stitch around the edges. Then, everything goes into a simple tie bag.
This one is a 'rainy day' version with 9 pairs of umbrellas. I wish I had more of this fabric as this is the perfect Vancouver set!
I'll be back with my own little mini photo-essay of the poppy life-cycle tomorrow.
Pardon me now while I sew a sleeve on the back of my queen-sized show quilt. Next week I'll post photos of my two show quilts...wouldn't want to spoil the surprise!

those are really cute! I need to make a set for the boy. :)
And I need to learn how to do a hanging sleeve... (there's got to be a good tutorial out there somewhere).
Can't wait to see your quilts!
Those are great little memory games. The umbrella one is not only cute, but I bet it is challenging since they are all variations on one image. I am really looking forward to seeing your quilts!! I bet you will do smashingly at the sale.
Thanks for sharing. That's a great idea to make as a gift for a young child.
I love this idea, they're so fun. Best wishes for the show and I look forward to the photos!

Cute! I love that tree fabric. I had a fat quarter of that and made a notebook cover for my daughter. I so wish I'd bought more of it. Can't find it anywhere now!
