Word Crimes

Weird Al Yankovic is a smart guy. This is absolutely the BEST song about grammar since Conjunction Junction. I guarantee it.  If for some reason you are not able to view the video here, just head on over to YouTube and search for "Weird Al Yankovic Word Crimes".

I was emailing with Anne at Play Crafts about this song only yesterday! I have to admit laughing at the controversial bit ;)

My husband is an editor and we reward our kids for finding mistakes on signs and in books. Thanks for sharing this!

Ha! Yes, my seven and ten year olds have been watching this non-stop for the last two weeks! Hopefully some of it will sink in :)

Love this! One of my pet peeves is failure to proof on blogs and comments. I was a primary school teacher my whole career so mistakes just jump out at me. It is possible to read right over your own errors and not notice them, but proofing does catch most of them. Same concept as taking a picture of a quilt layout before sewing blocks together. Wish I had done that with my Grandson's baby quilt. Lol. N
