Amazing Allium

Amazing Allium standing 2' high!

I think I'll do a series of single flower posts, taken with my hipstamatic app. I could stare at an allium blossom (ball? globe? sphere?) for hours.
Nature so rocks.

Beautiful Krista! Mine got pounded into the ground by hail, so it's great to see a bloom!

Hi Anonymous - the hipstamatic is an application for the iPhone that allows you to take tinted photos to mimic old fashioned bulb flash pictures.

Thanks for learning me about Hipstamatic pictures! This one looks absolutely great!

I remember the old fashioned bulb flash pictures. Changing the melted bulb after you took a picture. I give away my age now, don’t I??

My grandmother used to have these in her garden and while they are beautiful they smell like onions! I told her that and she said no but when she looked them up they are in the onion family. They are like oversized chive blossoms!! Beautiful photo.
