HELLO my name is....

LUCKY!!! Yup, once again, that's me. Look what I just signed for at the front door:

Kaufman Kona Solids

That's right. FIVE charm packs of assorted Robert Kaufman Kona solids. Swoon. I now have about 200 charm squares to do with as I please. Maybe you could leave a comment and give me some ideas. I really want to do more work with solids, but have yet to totally commit.

Kaufman Kona Solids

The Vancouver Modern Quilt Guild Kaufman solid challenge is on right now. Our guild chose the 'darks' charms. My friend Berene and I are hoping to get together and combine our charm squares (hey, now we have THREE packs!) to make a relief quilt for Japan....both of us are just trying to find some quality creating time together. Once my fund raiser is over on Friday night (and, ahem, my quilt for that is complete), I'll be a little more available.

Kaufman Kona Solids

Thank you Sew Mama Sew for running the inspiring 'Pillow Month', and for facilitating all of the generous sponsor prizes. Not only did Kaufman donate this fabric, they also paid $25 to ship it up to me.

Again: lucky.

WOW WOW Kirsta - who's a lucky girl then - well done - what have you got planned to do with them?

That's a great prize! I bet you will make a beautiful quilt with them. Kaufman was very generous--not only the fabric but a hefty shipping fee!

They do look so lovely together, don't they? I just got 4 out of 5 of those packs delivered too - check out my blog to see what I am making with them. I have to get that finished AND a quilt for Japan too!

Well done you!! Matched with a neutral I'd feel a pretty pinwheel or sailboat quilt coming on. You can't blame me though I'm a Maritimer!!
