Signs of Spring: West Vancouver edition

Yesterday while D was at Field Hockey camp, I took a stroll on the seawall. Here are a few of the views I enjoyed while the sun made a very brief appearance through many and various clouds.

Mind the sea monsters, hungry from a long winter under the waves....

I may try some remote blogging while hanging out around the pool on vacation, but if (a) I can't figure it out, or (b) I'm too relaxed to type, or (c) I'm having too much fun with my family, then you won't be hearing from me for about a week. Sometimes we need a little break, so I've loaded a new book that I can't wait to read and I'm leaving my stitching at home.

If you have not yet had the pleasure of meeting Miss Flavia de Luce, might I suggest you immediately read her debut in The Sweetness in the Bottom of the Pie. Bradley's writing is a joy and she is a perfect 11 year old heroine.

Toodle-oo friends.

I hope you have a wonderful time. A friend just got an iPhone4 and she is now doing her blogging using something called "blogpress." She loves it. Just FYI. :)

Cool pictures, BTW!

Krista: I have the blogpress app too. It's pretty easy to post from your iPhone. It's not so convenient if you want to edit your photos, but if you just want to upload some quick cell phone pics it works well!

HI Krista, I have heard of the book Sweetness at the bottom of the pie but not read it. I will have to look for it at the library.
I am drooling at the beautiful spring flowers- It snowed here this morning- by late afternoon it was warm enough to melt a little of the pile of snow.
We went to see a lecture about the Haida art last night at the Art gallery. There was some beautiful pieces created by the Artists.
There was also some fantastic Emily Carr landscapes in a current exhibit in the gallery. So many stunning pieces that she created.
Off to bed-
Have a nice trip.
Warmest regards,
Anna
