Spinning

That's what my Christmas head is doing, as are my wheels. I need to slow down a bit and enjoy the season!

Last night I returned home post-cookie-exchange and just sat for a few minutes watching my German Christmas pyramid spin 'round and 'round. It is just the most beautiful thing to watch.

This little guy is out for a ski, enjoying the evening light...

This man and his puppy are bringing the firelogs home on the sleigh...

And you can't see them because they are whizzing around the tannenbaum, but there's a little boy putting the finishing touches on his snowman while another one rests on his sled nearby.

My family brought the tree in while I was collecting cookies; hopefully we'll decorate it later today. Have you been able to stop and smell the Christmas tree yet?

I hope you enjoy decorating the tree. You probably don't even need to worry about the kids breaking the ornaments as they help. That must make it a little more enjoyable and maybe even relaxing? It was fun decorating ours and discussing which ornaments were choking hazards and should be hung higher :)

O M G Krista - that is soooooooooooooo weird. I wrote my flickrmail to you saying your card had made me stop and smell the coffee then happen to read this post asking if anyone's stopped to smell the Christmas tree. Our minds are working along exactly the same lines - seriously, I am freaking out reading this!!! OK, well freaking out is a slight exaggeration but it did make me stop in my tracks. Love your little tannenbaum spinning man thing.

This is the first and only German Christmas pyramid I've ever seen. It's a thing of beauty! I could stare at it for hours.... Your photos are so warm too.

Our tree is on the porch outside, in transition, waiting to come in... Maybe we'll get it done today? One can only hope... :)

Liebe Krista,
nicht nur deutsche Weihnachtspyramiden sind wundervoll!? Haben Sie schon einmal die Räuchermännchen aus dem Erzgebirge kennengelernt?
Liebe Grüße,
aus Deutschland xoxo

Hi Krista, I love your German pyramid. I live in the woods and love the design of yours. Do you know the maker of your pryamid or a source to find one similar? Happy Holidays! Betsy
