Sneaky Sherbet

Coming right up is a sneaky peek for Helen. Last spring we organized a private swap....after both of us being disappointed in not winning each other's Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day prizes I am completely enamored with her fun rocket houses. Besides her own Patchy Work of Mini Grey blog, Helen also writes the Doll Quilt Swap blog. That swap has become so massive (about 200 swappers) that the chances of becoming her partner by lottery are worse than Vegas odds! Taking matters into my own hands, I proposed we swap one of my selvage coin mini's for one of her fabulous rocket houses; happily Helen agreed! Soooo, Helen, if you want to be surprised when the postman calls, then get outta Dodge now, because a little peek is just down there

This mini quilt is happily on it's way to the far reaches of northern Australia and as soon as it gets there, I'll post a full picture. It's gonna take a while!

Hey, see that nifty down arrow I used up there? I recently discovered (I am a little slow on these things) that you can insert symbols into your comments and blog posts using the 'alt' key plus numbers. A complete list of alt symbols is here just in case you're looking to jazz up your messages with stuff like ♫ or ☼ or ♥. Fun!

Happy week everyone.

Ooooooooooooh that looks so pretty. Your hand stitching is beautiful. I really love pretty coloured DMC against white like that and love that you used different colours. I'm on a horse.

Well, how cool are those codes with the symbols? Love, love, love it! I can hardly wait to try it, although I'm wondering if I'll screw it up somehow. :(

Love our peek - the mix of patchwork and embroidery is gorgeous. And seeing those selvedges is making my fingers itchy to have a go myself but as I've only just started to save them think I'll have to wait. Thanks for sharing:) Ciao
