It wasn't all sewing on retreat....

We walked in the woods, too. I even have proof. See?

These little fellas are a bit more exotic than the mushrooms I've got growing in the backyard. We must have seen12 or more different varieties during our almost 2 hour walk! The rain forest isn't just wet. It's amazing.

The lodge we stayed in is way up in the mountains, within a university research forest. No cell coverage. Perfect.

This view outside the conference room was included in the price, too.

I think I might have to rename my retreat Piece & Quiet. Except that inside the conference room was anything but quiet!

Next year....
Fabulous little mushrooms. I think I can see some elves living at the base.

The orange mushroom is so pretty, and so is your retreat view.

Beautiful photos! That little dock is where I learned to canoe - Outdoor Ed camp in Grade 6 - brings back memories!

Sweet mushroom photogs Krista! I took a short video of the view from the upper balcony will share if I can sort out how. The sound of silence was the best sound of all!! Well that and the dinner bell! LOL

Sigh. I want to live there. In my ideal world I'd live there inside a little mushroom house with a view of that gorgeous lake. And then I'd need a giant garage for my craft room, because heaven knows all my stuff isn't going to fit inside a mushroom.
