Fortune Telling

I've never paid a psychic, have you?

Really, the only thing I'd want to hear is this:

Time For Fabric Hoop by Poppyprint

I hope my secret partner in the Scrappy {Hoops} swap feels the same way, because this hoop, called "Time for Fabric" will soon be on it's way to her. In the interest of hassle-free border crossing, I think I have to send it without the required AA battery.

Time for Fabric Hoop oblique by Poppyprint

I haven't got enough time to explain the why's and how's of this project at the moment, but will endeavour to do so later in the month. Why, you ask? Well, tomorrow is the first day of my annual 4-day quilt retreat. We are record numbers this year; 27 of us will be sewing, eating, laughing, and lounging at a new location high in the forest. In-house chef, no cell access. Dreamy. Except that I haven't packed anything yet.

If you're in Canada, I hope you will have a chance to spend a few moments, or even attend a ceremony tomorrow, to remember. Lest We Forget.

Yep, I have paid a psychic. She told me a bunch of crap that didn't come true :( Ah, well, maybe you have to believe for real.

Love the hoop. What a great idea!

Have a wonderful time at your quilting retreat. I've never been to one, but my friend and I are looking into it for January!

Have fun!! I went to a three day one last weekend (my first) - WOW what an experience. I actually got a whole quilt top pieced and learned so much from the other quilters.

Your hoop is great!

We had a fortune teller for my hen party - I think she said I was going to be happily married with lots of kids - well here I am - did she predict merry hours spent sewing? I can't remember. I love your clock - she looks like she's had a bit of collagen help with those lips. Have a fantastic retreat - wish I could be there and I'll let you know how I get on with mine next year - hope no-one forgets their machine pedal!

It's lovely!

My family did hire a psychic after my grandfather went missing in a plane crash 10 years ago. She said he was alive, hurt, and trying to walk out of the crash site. It turned out he had been killed on impact when we finally found him. So I don't believe in psychics. Although I want to, because when you're asking about love, money, (or fabric) it's a lot more fun!

Have fun at your retreat! I am once again so very jealous.

I did pay a psychic once at a girls lunch, on a lark. Turned out she knew things that were going on in my life that no one knew about and her insights were very helpful - spooky. Your fortune teller is fabulous dahling. Your swap partner is tres lucky. See you at retreat tomorrow. Ooooh I am so excited!!!!! :-)

This is too funny, and as if we need a fortune teller to forcast THAT!!

I need to go on a quilt retreat....how does one go about finding one? Through your local quilt shop? Or are you fortunate enought to have 27 quilting friends??

Lest we forget.
