She sells seashells.....

Up next on the post-vacation package reveal is this sweet mini quilt made for me by Terrie (I don't know if Terrie has a blog, but she's got a fantastic Flickr handle: Chocolate_isthe_best_medicine)! We were partnered up for monthly mini-quilt swap on Flickr and July's theme was beach or underwater (I think I lucked out and got a bit of both!). Isn't this adorable?

July mini QT swap (beach/underwater theme)

I rather like lighthouses and am thrilled with this adorable one with it's vines and stripey exterior. And that mermaid? She's just so cute peeking out from behind the rock!

I just love the curvy pieced background and the grey seawall...and are those Heather Ross seagulls flying around up there??? Perfect! [slightly related aside: DID YOU KNOW HEATHER ROSS HAS DESIGNED SURF BOARDS???? Honestly, I need to take some more lessons and get me one! Or maybe skip the lessons and just get one. And drive around with it on the roof of the Volvo. Like I am a mom who not only surfs, but has style, too!]

Thank you so much Terrie - I hope the mini quilt I made for you arrives soon! The swap quilts are a surprise until our partners receive them, so I will wait until I hear from Terrie before I show it to you...but here's the sneaky peek I posted for Terrie before I mailed it with the clue "think Freddy & Gwen, Thelma & Louise and Krista & Terrie"....I wonder if she knows......

Mini QT July swap - sneak peek

Don't go far...there's lots more to come (I've been so spoiled!!).
