Happy

The rain outside cannot dampen my new year glow as I look back on projects completed in 2009. Some were small, few large, but all were a joy to make. Many were inspired by work I had seen online on other creative women's blogs, some were free patterns made available by very generous creative women that I discovered at Sew Mama Sew (photos 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 11 & 13 below). If you like what you see in photos 10 & 12, there are free tutorials in my side bar for those projects. I don't have photos of absolutely everything I've made...sometimes things get mailed away or gifted, or donated before I take a picture. I know, I know. But you also know how last minute these things can get!!

So, here's a little creative eye candy...a sampling of some 2009 projects by Poppyprint:

1. scrapbasket1, 2. threadcatcher3, 3. IMG_5739, 4. buttercup bag 1, 5. fabric eggs1, 6. Memory Game & Bag, 7. IMG_1361, 8. Eiffel Tower pillow cover, 9. Easter napkins, 10. Crop Circle Table Runner, 11. buttercup bag2, 12. mini label needle book, 13. buttercup bag , 14. Leaf banner full, 15. homecoming quilt detail, 16. fall swap top

I'm happy to report that I completed 2 out of 2 for the Joy in the New Year Challenge. Yippee! Nothing like a contest to bust one out of procrastination.

January 1, 2010: today, instead of skiing in the rain, we will continue our holiday mode of relaxation. I may take a stitch, or two....in the meantime, I wish you all a very

!!HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Happy New Year Krista!

Your projects are great. Wow - you did a lot this year. Love the Eiffel Tower pillow cover!

You've got rain; here in Edmonton, we've got nothing but snow as far as the eye can see! Isn't it time it all melted? Christmas is over, after all...

Thanks for stopping by my blog, I have to tell you that I've enjoyed reading your blog over the last couple of months.
What a small world isn't it, you know "my" world. BTW, the KK is still there, a little rough around the edges.
Take care, Viv ps: rain? our water pump froze last night and there is fog as far as I can see...gotta love it up here
