Helen and I did a little post-DQS9 private swap. She pulled a fast one on me...I thought I was getting a rocket house, but I think I gushed so much over this one when she posted photos on her blog, she sent it instead! I couldn't be happier. Look at her amazing quilting with a pale pink/green variegated rayon thread:
All of the applique pieces are hand-embroidered with a perfect blanket stitch! The pattern is by Piece O' Cake designs Aunt Millie's Garden book. I just love all of their designs and was even lucky enough to take a hand-applique class by Becky Goldsmith herself a few years ago (although, I must admit I have only hand appliqued one 2" circle since that class).
It's not just a Beaut, it's a Stunner, too. Thank you so much Helen. I hope your selvage coin mini arrives in Australia soon! ♥

What a fantastic, cheery quilt to receive when it is so yucky outside. How can you be sad when you look at it?
