I've tried working with solids from many manufacturers, but this is the first time I've had the pleasure of seeing and touching the DS Modern Solids from FreeSpirit Fabrics in person. The colour saturation is incredible and the hand absolutely lovely. While other solids may lack softness, colour depth and/or opacity, this fabric hits a home run in each of those categories.  Admittedly, I have not yet washed it, but I have high hopes for success with this cloth.  Take a look:

The box contains 75 fat quarters, all folded so prettily it will be almost heartbreaking to take them out and start cutting. I mean, couldn't you just turn this baby on it's side and display it in a book case? I have big plans. Huge plans, in fact, for this fabric. I'm issuing a personal challenge to myself to create a quilt using every last colour in this box and piecing it with my Improv Under the Influence technique.
