For all of my international readers, here is a little summer (or winter!) travel incentive. For those of you at home: get outside and enjoy what we've got right outside your doorstep! An amazing video montage of footage shot by average Canadians livin' life:
Awesome, eh?
Totally!
ReplyDeleteYeah I would feel proud too :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! You Canadians know how to live the good life, that's for sure! xo
ReplyDeleteLove it! Especially love the sporty stuff and the wildlife. Those whales and moose (meese) are spectacular. It's been 20 years since I was in Canada (gawd, that makes me feel old) and I hope to get back there one day.
ReplyDeleteYou have just made me so homesick! Thanks - in a nice way, not a sarcastic way, really.
ReplyDeleteVery cool video! I'm glad to be your neighbor. :)
ReplyDeleteYup, AWESOME!
ReplyDeletelike totally rad.
ReplyDeleteOne day I'm going to do the cross country train and see all the bits I missed when I lived there in the middle! (I did see Edmonton, Jasper, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottowa, Kingston and Niagara Falls too, but mostly the middle ;o) )
ReplyDeleteOh man! Thanks for making me cry. Homesick, blah! The best place ever! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding me how awesome my country is - I miss home now!!!
ReplyDeleteYou’ve made me feel homesick too and I’ve never been in Canada.
ReplyDeleteMy husband loves your country and I understand why! If we could only have a little of your space and wildlife!
Wow! My dream is to explore Canada one day - watching that makes me want to save my pennies harder!
ReplyDeleteOk so tears are welling up...awesome video.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous. We live in New England, and when we retire we hope to buy an RV and travel across Canada to the west coast!
ReplyDeleteLike New Zealand's big brother eh!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, that happens to me too. "Oh Canada" playing in my head out of nowhere... Funny. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, eh!! Totally awesome!
ReplyDeleteP
Awesome! Thanks for sharing this, Krista!
ReplyDeleteNow I'm homesick too! Oh Canada!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you - I love our country and get choked up pretty easily over it. Wonderful video - makes me realize that there's much more to this country than I'll ever get to experience.
ReplyDeleteThat makes me happy. Like, a lot. Also, I want to see the Northern Lights in person as much as Rapunzel wants to see the floating lanterns. I'd jump out of my tower for it :)
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome dude!
ReplyDeleteFantastic!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to the great white north eh!
ReplyDeleteEh, indeed!
ReplyDeleteSo proud :)
ReplyDeleteGreat video! I'm proud to be a "new" Canadian - my citizenship ceremony in 1995 was one of the most moving events of my life.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing ,I do hope to come back to Vancouver and see the sights and visit my family.
ReplyDeleteTricia
Cool video! My brother has just spent the last 18 months living in Canada (Whistler) and speaks so highly of the lifestyle (we're Australian). Can't wait to visit one day!
ReplyDeleteSame thing happens to me when I hear the National Anthem here in the US ~ tears every time.
ReplyDeleteLove the video ~ the part with the wolf was the best for me.
I really do have to come up ~ it's only a few hours from where I am.
Wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteThere is an incredibly large Canadian flag in the Lowes lot, at Whitby Ontario,(hwy 401 & Stevenson Rd). Every-time I see that as I drive by I smile and feel so proud of our country, people and flag. We need to see more of them waving high.
ReplyDeleteCheers from Oshawa Ontario.
Awesome indeed! With a few exceptions, it could have been an ad for Norway.)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wonderful reminder, it's easy to take living here for granted.
ReplyDeleteI love this country, too! Thanks for the awesome post, which I will share with my Mum later. I'm spending more time on FB and Twitter than I ever thought possible, just trying to do my bit to keep this country intact. So nice to see a post from someone else who loves this place. Have to run, but I'll be back. ~ Linne
ReplyDeleteThanks Krista, the video was lovely. I'm all verklempt! Awesome indeed.
ReplyDeleteGreat video! I, too, am a proud Canadian. I cry when I hear our anthem and belt it out loud enough to make others stare LOL! I'm proud to say my kids are also vocally patriotic! Thanks for the reminder of what a great country we live in.
ReplyDeletejust joined your blog yesterday and this is the first message I see today! Loved it! Thanks so very much!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am new to your blog, new to Canada (we moved here a year ago from Europe) but I already feel the patriotism with you :) lovely movie, thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeletelove

That was a fabulous quick journey! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI usually can't even sing the anthem because I get too choked up. I love how many people you convince to visit us Canuckleheads with your Home and Native Land posts… :-)
ReplyDeleteSoooo have to get my cross-country skis out this weekend...
